Monday Musings is hosted each Monday by Barbara at Candy Hearts and Paper Flowers.

This week I have found some “cool” quotes from Calvin Coolidge, the 30th President of the United States.

“Nothing in the world can take the place of persistence.
Talent will not. Nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent.
Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb.
Education will not; the world is full of educated derelicts.
Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent.
The slogan ‘press on’ has solved and always will solve the problems of the human race”

“If I had permitted my failures, or what seemed to me at the time a lack of success to discourage me, I cannot see any way in which I ever would have made progress.”

“There is no dignity quite so impressive, and no independence quite so important, as living within your means.”

“Men show, by what they worship, what they are.”

“You can’t know too much, but you can say too much.”
